Lia’s mission is to improve lives through the translation of sound nutrition research into practices for daily life and to foster a food system that serves the planet and its people. Her vision is a world in which natural resources are managed sustainably and good nutrition is accessible for everyone.
Lia Marlen Schmökel is visionary nutrition scientist, entrepreneur and speaker. Her expertise spans across multiple areas of nutrition, including preventing chronic diseases, developing alternatives to alcoholic beverages, and advocating a planet-conscious diet.

Lia founded the herbal health startup NOURI as well as NUTRITION HUB, Europe’s largest community for credentialed nutrition experts. Berlin-based NUTRITION HUB connects nutrition specialists with the nutrition industry, startups and NGOs in order to foster innovation and spread knowledge based on scientific evidence – leading to a better informed, more empowered consumer. Lia believes that when consumers know better, they make better choices for themselves and the world around them.
